3 more days to ORD!!!

Hmm, just before I leave e green life.

Some words to say....

Yes, training will be tough and xiong

but it's e passage to becoming someone stronger,

someone wiser and experienced.

As not many will hav e chance to go command school.

In life, we always hope that we will not regret,

so cherish e moment & e chances that you will get!

No pain, no gain!

If you're looking for action and violence, a movie with a good flow of storyline. Then you folks should try this movie. Although e start may seem a bit not relevant but after that, everything is good to go! E cast is great with 2 charming lead actors, Jamie Foxx & Colin Farrell who display such quality substances and actress, Gong Li who is showing us that she is still as sexy as ever. Msut catch....

Make a guess?

Yup, that's right... One of e coolest nightspot in town still. ZOUK.

Music is definitely great, head down to e main room, Zouk for Mambo, Retro and bit of Pop. Run over to Phuture to enjoy e great deal of R & B and Hip Hop tunes....

E night was indeed fun, e crowd were cool... My gang was small but good enough. We bumped into some rather interesting moments when we were disco-ing at e dancefloor....

This particular 1: "As we were dancing happily with our own group of friends, we were somehow being pushed. We all know that Phuture is super packed when e music starts to jam, thus e pushing gets more and more. So as we were being pushed, we were in directly moving closer to a group of girls which we didn't plan to. Then suddenly, one of e girl just started to go all wild in e dancefloor showing her friends, e "dance moves" she got. When actually, she was just trying to push us away using e elbows she own. OMG!!! Lord, forgive this child for her innocence....

Moral of e story: Don't judge e books by its cover!!!!

Wednesday, September 20, 2006

These past few days had been a misery for me, caught by a terrible fever. Thus, had to rest at home and cancel all my plans... However, I took e time to read my past entries since I enlisted into e Army until now, there were many stories but some were left out or cut short... Come to think of it, I really can't figure out how I survived in OCS, all e punishments and stuffs, really can't imagine. And not just e OCS journey, it's e whole journey thru my NS life and e way I blog. Can really see e changes and e cycles that one can have, ups and downs, e emotional moments, e playful times, my "first times" (Taking plane, going overseas, buying levis jeans) and many more.... As I looked back on myself, I smiled and laughed at e things that I had done and gone thru, I can really say that my NS life is really a very memorable and meaningful 1, is yours too?

I'm really grateful for e ppl who influenced my thinking for e Army during BMT, SISpec and OCS, respect e ppl who really lead by example and showed me what is right and wrong, happy that I'm always with a group of wonderful friends and buddies in BMT, SISpec and of course, OCS and lastly, proud of myself for being able to make it all e way and developed my own personal skills... :P

Fever down

Went back camp for blood test

Now thinking what to do

.......
....... but for now

It's time! Zouk

Fri
Went back to Tekong for CD (Chemical Defence) refresher thingy, but was not really interested in going, so I stayed in e Company office looking at e kids' posting. Liked wad I said, most of them went to SISpec, 39 went OCS and e rest to various units. I can say this batch has done very well, as this is e highest amt of ppl going OCS so far that I've seen....

Tmr will be e start of your new journey in your NS life, it's time to face e reality... E commanders that you will see or work with, may or may not be as nice as e commanders in BMT, because most of you are training to be commanders, all of you must be self-motivated, be able to stand tall infront of various obstacles that you might faced, with no doubt that your buddy and your platoon will be there with you, so you shall show no fear! Make more friends and learn how to work better as a team, must know when to be serious and when to relax, never give up your chance when you are given 1. E discipline and standards will be higher from now on, so be prepared! And most importantly, know wad's e true meaning of NS....

Our Last Journey Together

Sun - e Pizza Night (Company Level)

Me and KX have been planning for some time, decided to reward the kids some pizzas and drinks for their hard work that they deserved. We also asked all the commanders including those gonna ORD to come back, to enjoy this feast together. We ate in the lecture room, watching Plt 2's video at e same time, enjoying ourselves and remembering the days that we been thru.

Mon - De-kitting & CO Vetting

E main highlight is their CO Vetting Parade. I was there, watching them perform on the parade square, snapping away with my camera. They did quite well for the drills but the singing wasn't there yet, but I understand why. Was surprised to see Zijie come back, even though his leg haven't recovered yet, to be together with e platoon for e last time. Good Job! Last 2nd RO was given quite late and long, but I don't care much 'cos I know e KIDs wouldn't sleep so early also.

Tue - Passing Out Parade

Finally e time has come, their big day infront of their loved ones and families. Was glad tat Ernest could joined back e parade as he was e Company Best. I watched their performance again, and they did even better than e pervious day, e drills and singing. When it's time to go down to put on their jockey caps, everyone was rushing down, nervously looking for their sons. I was also there 'cos some kids didn't have anyone to come, so I had the pleasure to put on e cap for them. Liked wad I said when I walked back, the moment of glory is YOURS! Enjoy it....

After e "ROAR", e kids rushed to get their equipments while me and e PSs accompany Zijie down to meet up with Ee Beng so tat he could go back early with him. Den headed back to e parade square to take pics with them and being thrown 2 times into e AIR. (Phew.... All in 1 piece). Lastly, e moment of parting came. ".... Raven Company, please proceed to the ferry terminal." While e kids were lining up to get onto e boat, e commanders were there to shake their hands and bid our blessings to them. Sad, but it's reality... And as for e ORD commanders, it's our last time doing so.

My impressions of you all....

Raven 1
Very playful, not disciplined enough but when it's time to be serious, you all can do it. Good job on ur IPPT test, highest overall passes. "Platoon 1, ready to send arms?" LD -Armskote 2IC

Raven 2
Playful and not serious enough but they are very bonded and together they are a strong team. All of you are too quiet at times, must learn to speak up more. Don't give way to ppl. "Spider!!! Scold Them"

Raven 3
Very motivated, very disciplined. But sometimes too "GARANG" and serious, must learn how to enjoy! "Pain is Temporary, Pride is Forever" by LTA KX

Raven 4
Very high morale platoon, very bonded and closed to each other. Too bad, e basic discipline is not there if not, you're e BEST. However, you all still gets e job done! "Come on, Raven 4"

Since I was not there for your LAST RO, here is wad I want to say....

As e Commanders of BMTC, our main duty is to take good care of you, imparting you e knowledge tat you need to know, explaining e SAF 7 core values' meaning to you and of cos, making your BMT journey, a fun and memorable one. For this batch, I have seen something diff, it was e morale and bonding of each and everyone of you. To e Commanders, all of you are e BEST! But sometimes, we need to choose e best among you all, and it's really very hard. Wad we think and want will sometimes be diff from e way e system chooses, so for those who did not make it e best, don't be disheartened! Continue to work even harder...

1 kid asked me, "Sir, wad do you think of me?" I thought abt it awhile and said, "It doesn't matter wad I think of you, wad's more impt is how you want ppl to think of you." Honestly, all of you are good to me. 'Cos results has shown in e IPPT test, during e SITest when e assessors told me tat Raven was very good and when you all finished e 24km route march. But do not stop here, continue to improve and push yourselves to e limits. Find out how far you can go, you'll be surprised... At times when you got e opportunity, grab it tight and never let go, show and prove ppl tat you are e right choice!

For those who are very worried tat you might not go OCS. I understand your worries and e hunger to go to this premium training school, but sometimes it doesn't really matter where you go. Being a officer doesn't make you e best commander, it just makes you look nicer. Wad's more impt is e pride, e eagerness to teach and educate ppl which anyone can do it.

Lastly, it's your health. If you think you really cannot carry on with e training, report sick. No one will say tat you're weak or wad, if they do, ignore them. We are human beings, we also need to rest and to recover, in order for us to carry on. 2 years of NS will fly past very fast, don't injure urself and bring e pain to e outside world, don't let your loved ones worry...

All e Best to All of YOU, take care my KIDs..... Hope you all will 1 day, see wad's above e clouds!

Charlie - The Gathering
@Dbl O

Booked out at 1am with KX, hopping onto the speed boat with OC Ninja. Feeling tired that we are after the 24km route march, but nothing can stop the Charlie Wing Spirit going. Got on a cab and headed straight down to MS, Dbl O.

We reached there abt 1.30am, the queue was empty so we didn't waste much time anymore. Headed straight to the main room with KX following closely behind me. (it was his 1st time clubbing!!!) Then the first person I saw was Audie, my usual clubbing kaki den he brought us to the holding ground.

The Supervising: Wing Com Sir himself, now promoted to COL already, Congrats!

From Platoon 1: Dyson, David, Enrick, Audie, Zul, Jason, Dawen and Yao Qing.

From Platoon 2: Yau Khai, Weishun, Kwok Leong, Wei Jun, Allan, Bernie, KX and Me.

From Platoon 3: Kelvin, Edwin, Roy, Junwei and Kim.

And some new faces in Charlie Wing.....

By the time we got there, almost everyone was gone especially Wei Jun... Haha. However, it didn't stop, the drinks just keep coming even when it was going to end, we still got 5 jars full of beer but nothing can stop us as WE ARE FROM CHARLIE WING!!!

After all of us struggle to finish the 5 jars, it was time for us to go.... Bidding farewells to one another. Quoted from Wing Com Sir, "At the end of the day, wad's more important is that all of us had fun, all of us had made this gathering possible...."

Salute to e person who make me into who I am today, COL KOH....

He is a great Leader, Teacher, Mentor and a Friend to all of us when we were still cadets of Charlie Wing. And to me, he is my benefactor! The person who gave me the chance to stay in OCS when I got into so much trouble and he never give up on me... Without him, there will be no me. The teachings and speeches that he taught and gave to us, really made an deep impact in all our hearts. We are proud to be under your command, as we saw wad you could do. At 40 yrs old, he did JCC together with us, ran in FBO with us during 1 of the route march, and so far has run 6 marathons.... All the best to you, SIR!!!

Lastly, I also have to thank my platoon commanders, PC - LTA Boon Kiat, APC - LTA Yau Khai, Intructors - LTA Issac, LTA Weishun and LTA Lew. You all had taught me something during my time is OCS, I sincerely owe it to you all too. Thank You! Not forgetting each and everyone of the commanders in Charlie Wing which somehow help me. Big Thanks to all of you....

24km route march

I didn't really walked with the company as I was the safety officer! I did asked my 2IC whether he wanna change with me since he's onli walking in SBO, but too bad he rejected me. Hai~ But it's alright, I'll think of something. Ha! Just before I moved off, I went around giving sweets to them. The Victory Sweet!

Felt really bored when I was out in the field waiting for the school to come. I also sort of plan wad to do later, join them with the march. In the end, the plan was spoilt by a few recruits and a few 'officers', had to send the recruits back camp. Sianz~

Waited for my belowed Encik before joining back the main body at old SISpec. Thought of a plan again! Waited for everyone to march pass me, lucky no recruits fall out. Although I saw the few 'officers' again, I just grab my gear and ran to catch up with my Coy. Overtake L, W and T but still bit slow, my Coy was resting already. Went around checking on them, giving out sweets to R3 & R4.

After the break, we went on to our 20km mark. Then I discovered something, my 2IC wasn't with his platoon. WTF. Just feel very disappointed because I very much wanted to march even though it'll be my 4th 24km march. Never mind, at least I still try to join them whenever I can. After I reached my rover, I had to stop to wait for the whole school to march pass me before I can join back.

After everyone had march pass, I ran and fast-march even before the 'officers' came. I managed to catch up with my Coy and I ran forward with the BCU that I brought along and Spray THEM!!! The feeling was good even though I felt tired after the running but it was definitely worth it. Marching on with my colleagues, KX, Weiming, Faizal, Lokman, Shah, Chua, Teo and so on, and of course with the WHOLE COMPANY! "Come on, Raven 4" lolz....

When we got to the 20km rest point@SISpec, saw my 2IC there resting. Then OC called me over saying, "You were not in the rover right? TO looking for you" WTH. I fulfill my duty before marching away, don't really care much. Then the overall safety asked me where I go, I didn't really bother to answer and he chased me to go back to the parade square (as I got no more checkpoints) when I told him I wanted to march... Diaoz~

Felt really stupid when I was at the parade square, den I decided to walked back to joined my Coy. My boss saw me and asked me to go back, but I never. Ha~ Walked with R4 all the way til the end. Poor Linus, exhausted after completing e 24km march, send him to medical center leaving Jeff with him.

Although this was their graduation march and the last, I feel that the 16km route march is even better than this. Don't really know why, but just feel that way.
